Dalgan Summer School will take place this year from 19 July to 23 July 2020 and will be led by Dr John Feehan author of ‘God in a five-pointed star; A spiritual philosophy of Nature’.
Twice in Laudato Si’ Pope Francis refers to the created world as the ‘other’ book of revelation: the “magnificent book in which God speaks to us and grants us a glimpse of his infinite beauty and goodness”; “a precious book whose letters are the multitude of created things present in the universe.”
This year’s Dalgan Summer School sets out to open the pages of some of the volumes of this Great Book of Creation, especially those that can be read with special meaning in the unique geological setting of the north-east of Ireland.
The Summer School will consist of lectures, recognition of species and work with microscopes.
