Fibre supports digestion and blood sugar balance. Sources are: wholegrains, veg, fruit, seeds.

Calcium and Vitamin D build bone strength which is essential for bone health and fall prevention. Sources are: dairy, leafy greens, fortified foods, sun exposure, supplements.

B12 & foliate support brain and nerve health which is important for memory and mood. Sources are: green leafy vegetables, fruits, beans, eggs, fish, supplements.

Another important point was that hydration matters, so it is important not to overlook fluids. Older adults feel less thirsty but need fluids. Some tips included: Sip water, milk, and herbal teas; enjoy soups and juicy fruits; and keep drinks visible and accessible.
