On the Second Sunday of Advent, the theme is cherishing life. In the chapel in Dalgan Park, Fr Cyril Lovett prayed that, “the Lord will grant us an ever greater sense of the wonderful mystery of his life-giving presence in the bits and pieces of our lives, that human life may be respected, treasured and defended from its first moment of conception to the time when our earthly journey ends”.
“That the destruction of human life due to famine and war, and the mass migration that follows may cease, and that peace may come to many lands.”
“That life on planet Earth, our common home, may be cherished and protected by all.”
“That our supporters and friends of the Far East and the Mission League will be blessed with good health and quality of life during the festive season.”
