Annual Dalgan Christmas Carol service on 15 December

Dec 11, 2017

The annual Advent/Christmas Carol Service takes place this year in the College Chapel in Dalgan on Friday 15 December 2017 beginning at 8pm.

The theme of this year’s concert is ‘Sharing Gospel Joy’ in keeping with the theme of the Columban Centenary celebrations beginning on St Columban’s Day 2017 and ending on the same date in 2018.

The carol service is a perfect opportunity to take some quiet time amid the bustle of preparations to reflect on Advent and Christmas, through music, song, readings and prayer.

The Service gives us the opportunity welcome God into our lives in the person of Jesus who is the visible expression of God’s love and tenderness for all us. In Jesus, God pursues humankind with a love that is tireless, with a love that refuses to allow hatred and indifference take over.

The carol service invites us to make a home for God in our hearts, our homes, our communities and our world.

This year, the music will be performed by Ashbourne Church Choir and some members of Navan Parish Choir under the directorship of Ephrem and Giovanna Feeley.

Admission by ticket only. Tickets are available at the main reception in Dalgan. Tel: 046-9021525 or 086-8297578. Admission is free. Donations on the night will be greatly appreciated and will go to the Columbans working in Myanmar (Burma) in their work with the poor.
