Fr Salustino Villalobos, a Columban Missionary from Peru, who is a member of the Society’s General Council, pays tribute to Fr Gustavo Gutierrez who died on 22nd October 2024 in Lima (Peru) aged 96. Fr Salustino recalls Fr Gutierrez’s theology, care for the poor, friendship with the Columbans and his own meeting with the theologian when he was 90.
