Dr John Feehan, a great friend of Dalgan and the Columbans in Ireland, continues his video series on wildflowers. In this one, he talks about Cowparsley and Pignut.
Cowparsley is one of the signature species of the hedgerow in early summer, and according to John Feehan “one of the loveliest sights of early summer” while the smaller pignut is equally characteristic of woodlands and old grassland.
Both are members of the Umbelliferae/Apiaceae family.
