The annual Advent/Christmas Carol Service took place in the College Chapel in St Columban’s Dalgan Park last Friday 15 December 2017.
The theme of this year’s concert was ‘Sharing Gospel Joy’ in keeping with the theme of the Columban Centenary celebrations which began on St Columban’s Day 2017 and will conclude on the same date in 2018.
This year, the music was performed by Ashbourne Church Choir and some members of Navan Parish Choir under the directorship of Ephrem and Giovanna Feeley.
The service provided the hundreds who attended it with an opportunity to prepare for Christmas through music, song, readings and prayer.
Donations on the night were taken up for Columban projects working with the poor in Myanmar (Burma).
