Columban missionary Fr Pat Colgan has been visiting and presenting some of the awards to winners in the 2023 Columban Schools Media competition.
Young people aged 13-18 years were asked to produce an article or image that demonstrated an awareness and understanding of conflict in the world today, addressing the subject ‘Building Peaceful Futures’.
This week, Fr Pat visited St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena. Student Katie Bonnes won this year’s print category while second place in the image category was awarded to Maria Rosa Black of St Louis’ Ballymena.

Earlier this month, Fr Pat visited St Catherine’s College, Armagh to present the award to Clíodhna McKeever who won joint third place for her image.
Fr Pat has worked on mission in Fiji.
