Some Columbans who have returned from overseas mission have made themselves available for parish ministry in their home dioceses in Ireland. Over the years these men have provided a valuable service to the local parish and have inserted themselves into the life of the community. Others have taken a keen interest in the local Church and have participated in ministries such as hospital chaplaincy, addiction treatment centres, pilgrimages, retreats, justice & peace groups and migrant apostolates.
